about

Songs written on a modular synthesizer, noiseboxes and digital instruments for the theatre production "Karl und Rosa", written by Alfred Doeblin, adapted for the stage by Nina Steinhilber and Alice Buddeberg.

The song cycle follows the demons discussions in the epic poem "Paradise Lost". Each of them has a different idea on how to continue after being tossed out of heaven, until Satan finally decides to seek the world of humans as a new battlefield.

"There is a Storm Coming" is based on Walter Benjamins "The Angel of History" and becomes in my version a requiem for the specks of dust we are.
